We launched SHFT in December of 2009 because Gary Hirshberg, CE-YO of Stonyfield Farm and sustainable business leader, believed in our mission. He took a leap of faith that we had the blue prints to build a cultural sustainable media platform that would serve as a destination for intelligent options for consumers. He believed in our philosophy of positioning sustainable ideas in a culturally relevant way with great design and an inspirational point of view. He and Stonyfield Farm were also producing partners of our first original series LIGHTEN UP. As one of the most inspiring and sustainably successful companies around, Stonyfield Farm has led the way for many other companies to do business in a more sustainable and efficient way. We are proud to have them as our first Founding Partner.

On the day that we launched - literally - we caught the eye of Tom Hayes. Tom is the head of marketing for one of the most forward thinking companies in Silicon Valley - Marvell Semiconductor. Marvell's founders beleive in efficiency and smart electronics. They make the most efficient computer chips around and they support the idea of smarter electronics throughout their industry to a worldwide market. Marvell became a Founding Partner and continues to help SHFT grow. We look forward to building our future together.
