Ben Thomas: Accession

  • Posted by SHFT on June 5, 2013 in Photography
  • Melbourne-based photographer Ben Thomas has a knack for capturing urban centers from interesting new perspectives. An early adopter of tilt-shift photography, Thomas nicely explored perceptions of scale with his popular “Cityshrinker” project. Now, he's back with another perspective-warping series called "Accession," in which cities are inverted to give them a mirrored ceiling. From New York and San Francisco to Tokyo, the series portrays exterior urban conditions and interior geometries in a fascinating new light.
