  • Who'd have thunk it: The entire world could be running on 100% renewable energy by 2030, says a new study published in the journal Energy Policy. All that's needed is 4 million 5-megawatt wind turbines, 1.7 billion 3-kilowatt rooftop solar power systems, and about 90,000 300-megawatt solar power plants — and a shitload of political will. No problem? (via MNN)

Va-va-voom: Do you like vintage Hollywood babes? Yes, who doesn't. What about riding bikes? Of course you do. Flavorwire assembled a gallery  combining two of our favorite things, via the great Tumblr, Rides A Bike.

Dutch designer Sander Reijgers turns blow up dolls into wearable works of art. File under "Gross but Neat."

Researchers have discovered an eco use for fool's gold. The LA Times reports that iron pyrite can be processed into a low-cost film for solar panels.

There's a new green label in town. The WindMade logo will tell consumers which products were made using wind energy
