Watch Bryan Nash Gill in Action
Bryan Nash Gill’s art star was on the rise when he passed away suddenly in May at his Connecticut studio. Bryan’s large scale relief prints, which he made using crosscut portions of reclaimed wood, reveal the sublime natural history locked away within arboreal rings. This video, produced seven months before his untimely passing, is a poignant and moving portrait of a great artist whose work resonated with so many people. Having exhibited Bryan’s work both on and offline, we’re not afraid to admit that it choked us up.
PS – if you don’t own Woodcut, the definitive book on his work, do yourself a favor and buy it.
