Houses, "Endless Spring"

There’s not a ton to this video. Actually there’s very little. But the song is some lovely, blissful pop, and there’s an interesting backstory. The standout single from All Night, Houses’ first full-length, “Endless Spring” was recorded in Hawaii where sole bandmember Dexter Tortoriello spent time with his partner living off the grid. In his words:

“We moved out to a little cabin in Papaikou, Hawaii. We worked for meals during the day cultivating indigenous micro-organisms and learning the basics of sustainable living. We drank showered and cooked with rain water. It was a beautifully simple experience. We’d have to light candles in an effort to save solar power to keep my computer running.”

The footage comes from their time there. Actually you don’t even have to watch the video. Just close your eyes and picture the waves crashing against the shore.
