We came across the work of UK photographer Jonathan Hyde over at the always-inspiring Boooooom, and hot damn it’s some nice stuff. Based in Brighton on England’s south coast, Hyde says he is inspired by “endless vistas over shires and highland peninsulas, crisp winter chill and bright white ice, chemical malfunction and torn negatives, and harsh rocks and gentle boughs.” These wonderfully organic and wistful analog photos display that inspiration in spades.
Sidenote: Hyde also happens to be a good friend of Rachel Davies, the lead singer of Esben and the Witch, and the band enlisted him to create their haunting “Chorea” video.
Hit up his Flickr for some good time wasting.
