Good photographers don’t need epic vistas or gorgeous models to pull off compelling images. Brad McMurray (previously) is a case in point. The Vancouver-based photog finds beauty in the everyday, often employing situational irony to create interesting pictures. His eye for bold pops of color in banal settings is on full display in this selection of images.
In his own words:
My images are seen through the camera; they are not cropped or manipulated in the darkroom or computer. I select common objects in familiar settings that provide or imply a larger context within a specific society. The process of selection is a priority for me and my photography.
