With inspiration from travels in Norway and Japan, as well as from his home in Lincolnshire, UK, Thomas Lamb creates grand-scale landscape paintings that explore ideas of memory and perception of place. The works document landscape in constant flux, with haunting images aimed at deepening the viewer’s sensation of reality.
“I am concerned with the visual and tactile elements of perception and want to make paintings which envelope and engage the viewer through the use of space, light and colour,” he says.
