For SHFT favorite Randy P. Martin (previously featured here and here), traveling and photography go hand-in-hand. The American photographer, who modestly describes his work as “travel documentation,” has a distinct flair for capturing tiny figures in the face of nature’s immensity. His latest series explicitly carries on with that theme.
Titled We Are Tiny, the images were shot in far corners around the globe, each featuring a miniscule human within a staggeringly beautiful landscape. Preferring film over digital, Martin used a Fujifilm X-Pro 1 and a Yashica T5 to capture the photos, which feature the diverse lighting and distinct graininess that only film can deliver.
