Last week we shared some cool images of sidewalk markings in San Francisco, now we head back to the Bay Area for a totally different perspective of the city. In his Impressions series, local photographer Christopher Dydyk shows off San Francisco’s multidimensional energy, using a technique whereby he reconstructs and overlays his photographs on top of each other. The end result are images that owe much to Impressionist painting.
He explains, “To begin the process I repeatedly photograph a subject, such as a tree, as I walk a circle around it. Once I have all of the images, I digitally layer them, subtracting some elements and highlighting others.”
