Brad McMurray locates the beauty in everyday scenes with his photos of trees and plants in the city. Like a plant-focused William Eggleston, McMurray surveys the banal to uncover the moments where the urban and natural worlds collide:
My work focuses on the mundane and ordinary world and I think that no subject is fuller of implications than this one… I strive to make forms make sense visually and I try to find beauty and displays of colour in ordinary scenes and subject matter and trust that the mystery, the poetry will follow.
