Spring Sets Off Tulip Spectacle in Holland

  • Posted by SHFT on April 26, 2011 in Travel
  • Once a year, more than 10,000 hectares of farmland in northwestern Netherlands burst into a patchwork of colors. Like psychedelic Mondrians, these aerial photos capture the tulip farms at the peak of their technicolor glory. The short-lived Dutch Tulip season attracts tens of thousands of flower-gazers, who set up shop along the fields to take in the show.
