Gabriel Garzon-Montano "Everything Is Everything"
Up-and-coming directorial duo Santiago and Joe got experimental with their clip for “Everything is Everything,” a soulful standout from Gabriel Garzón-Montano‘s debut EP, Bishouné: Alma del Huila. The pair captured a bunch of live footage of NYC busker Vlad Laksin dancing and singing in a park. Then they played the footage on an iPad and put the iPad in a scanner, and were left with thousands of images that were stitched together to create a surreal sort of stop-motion animation. The staccato effect is pretty cool. Always love seeing this sort of creative experimentation.
Bishouné: Alma del Huila is out now on Styles Upon Styles, and can be purchased on Bandcamp.
