New World

When he isn’t busy working as a designer at Nerv Interactive, UK animator Oliver Sin finds time to pursue personal creative projects. “New World,” a delightful animated short that Sin made in 2013, is one such project. The Vimeo Staff Pick tells a visual story of the history of earth, from its creation through to 21st century space exploration. Sin employs a bright color palette, simple graphical shapes, and a well-appointed soundtrack (Jim Guthrie’s “The Fantabulous World Of Jimmy 3 Guts) to pull off a perfectly charming little video.
