Sigur Ros, "Varuo"

Are we majorly late on this? Ah well, the latest collaborative art vid for Sigur Ros’s Valtari Mystery Film Experiment is a must-post. This one comes courtesy of NYC photographer Ryan McGinley, who follows a young girls skipping around Manhattan in blonde wig, before stopping everything around her and turning the bustling streets into a frozen backdrop for the surreal sounds of “Varuo.”

“This piece is my poem to New York City,” McGinley wrote. “I wanted to bring a childhood innocence to the streets, through a character whose own light and wonder effects the world around her. I’m always interested in an atmosphere where dreams and reality mingle on equal terms.”
